Capita appoints Carolyn Fairbairn to Board as independent Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – Capita plc announces the appointment of Carolyn Fairbairn as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from 13 May 2014.

Carolyn is an experienced director with substantial experience working in and advising organisations operating in regulated and non-regulated environments in the private and public sector. She has particular experience in the broadcast and financial services sectors.

Carolyn is currently a Non-Executive Director at Lloyds Banking Group, The Vitec Group plc, the UK Statistics Authority and ONS and the Competition and Markets Authority. Carolyn is also a Trustee of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Her previous roles have included: Non-executive and Chair of Risk Committee at the Financial Services Authority (now the Financial Conduct Authority) in the period of its recent restructuring, Director of Group Development and Strategy at ITV plc, Partner at McKinsey & Company and also Director of Strategy and Distribution at the BBC. Carolyn has a BA in Economics, an MA in International Relations and an MBA. Carolyn will be appointed to the Nomination, Remuneration (as Chair) and Audit and Risk Committees on appointment.
