Canlan Ice Sports appointed Doug Brownridge to the Board of Directors

– CANADA, Burnaby – Canlan Ice Sports Corp. (TSX:ICE) today announced that Mr. Doug Brownridge has joined the Board of Directors effective March 23, 2015.

Mr. Brownridge currently serves on various boards including Coast Capital Savings Credit Union and as Chair of Aprio Governance Software. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Brownridge has held senior marketing and business development positions at Intrawest, Rogers, PMC-Sierra, and Motorola. Mr. Brownridge is currently the Chief Operating Officer of IJL Canada Franchisee. IJL is the world’s largest non-internet dating service, with over 150 locations worldwide. Doug is also an avid hockey player and sports enthusiast.

Mr. Brownridge brings a wealth of brand management and marketing experience to Canlan’s Board and will provide added leadership through his experience in driving growth, innovation, and customer engagement.
