– UK, London – BT Group plc (LON: BT.A) today announced the appointment of Steve Guggenheimer to its Board as an independent non-executive director, effective 1 October 2022.
“Steve’s significant experience of digital transformation, AI and Cloud computing, and operating in a “scaled” environment will bring an invaluable perspective to the BT Group Board. His experience advising large complex businesses on the impact of technology will support our strategic transformation,” said Board Chairman, Adam Crozier.
Steve Guggenheimer will also join the Nominations and Digital Impact & Sustainability Committees.

Steve is an accomplished technology executive with more than 25 years of experience at Microsoft, where he has held a variety of senior and large-scale leadership roles. He has a strong track record of advising businesses on digital transformation and brings extensive insight into technologies ranging from artificial intelligence to Cloud computing.

Steven is currently a non-executive director of HSBC Holdings plc, Forrit Technology Limited, the Software Acquisition Group Inc., and Leupold & Stevens, Inc. He is also an advisor to The 5G Open Innovation Lab and UC Davis – Department of Physics and Tensility Venture Partners LLC. Over his career, he held various senior leadership roles at Microsoft, including Corporate VP, Artificial Intelligence; Corporate VP, Chief Evangelist; and Corporate VP, Original Equipment Manufacturer.
