Bluefield Solar Income Fund welcomes Meriel Lenfestey to its Board as Independent Director

– GUERNSEY, St. Peter Port –  Bluefield Solar Income Fund Limited (LON:BSIF), a sterling income fund that invests in UK-based solar assets, today announced the appointment of Ms Meriel Lenfestey as an independent non-executive director, as result of a rigorous, externally-facilitated, selection process managed by the Company’s Nomination Committee.

Chairman John Rennocks said: “I am delighted to welcome Meriel to the Bluefield Solar board. Her appointment comes at an exciting time in the Company’s development, with Bluefield evaluating opportunities to participate in the next phase in the development of the UK’s solar power sector, where the industry will not have access to government subsidies on future installations.

Meriel brings to the Company her considerable commercial experience drawn from many fields, and her fellow directors look forward to applying this to the challenges and opportunities which lie ahead.”

Ms Lenfestey founded Flow Interactive in 1997, a London based Customer Experience Consultancy providing creative strategic and tactical expertise across all sectors embracing digital transformation. Since exiting the business in 2016 she has held a portfolio of non-executive director and advisory roles across Energy, Telecoms, Transport, Investment, Technology, E-gaming, Retail Entrepreneurial Support and local charities. She is Chair of Gemserv, a provider of consultancy and governance services helping the Energy and Health markets embrace technology-driven change and deliver large programmes effectively; Senior Independent Director at Jersey Telecom who are leading the world in full fibre, delivering innovative global IOT services and providing local data and voice services; as well as holding non-executive director roles at Aurigny Air Services, Electronic Platform Solutions and the Guernsey Enterprise Agency. She has an MA in Computer Related Design from the Royal College of Art, a Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma and is a Fellow of the RSA.
