Beazley appointed Bob Stuchbery to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – Beazley plc (LSE:BEZ), announces that the board has appointed Robert Stuchbery as a non-executive director and member of the audit and risk committee with effect from 11 August 2016.

Mr Stuchbery has recently been appointed as a non-executive director to the board of Beazley Furlonge Ltd, the Lloyd’s managing agency which forms part of the Group. Mr Stuchbery has extensive Lloyd’s experience having been CEO of Chaucer until 2015 and having held numerous management roles at the company for over 25 years. He remains chairman of the Chaucer Foundation.

Beazley plc further announces that Vincent Sheridan, who has been a Beazley plc non-executive director since 2009 will retire from the board and audit and risk committee on 31 December 2016. He will remain a director of Beazley Re Designated Activity Company, the Group’s Irish subsidiary. Christine LaSala has been appointed to the Beazley plc audit and risk committee with effect from 11 August 2016.

Bob’s deep knowledge of the Lloyd’s market and distribution and operational strategies will be an asset to the board.
