– UK, London – Babcock International Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment to its board, with effect from 1 February 2016, of Prof. Victoire de Margerie as an independent non-executive director. She will also serve on the board’s Remuneration, Nominations and Audit & Risk Committees.
Prof. de Margerie has extensive experience as a non-executive director in a number of UK and other European publicly quoted companies and in her earlier executive career held senior management positions in several leading industrial businesses in France, Germany and the USA.
Commenting on her appointment, Babcock Chairman, Mike Turner, said: “The Board is very pleased that Victoire has agreed to join us. I have no doubt that her background, experience and outlook will prove invaluable to us in Babcock’s continued development, particularly internationally.”
