A long-time entrepreneur and financier, Mr. Townley has overseen financial strategy and operations of fast-growing enterprises for over 30 years.

Over the last 29 years, Mr. Townley has served as Co-founder, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Zaxby’s Franchising, one of the fastest-growing restaurant franchise systems in the United States. Along with his role in the franchise entity, Mr. Townley, as co-founder, independently operates over 140 of Zaxby’s 910 restaurant locations. Prior to co-founding Zaxby’s, Mr. Townley served six years as Chief Executive Officer for Southern Mortgage & Lending Corporation, a leading mortgage lender in the Southeast U.S. Mr. Townley holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Georgia Southern College and is a charter member of APICS, the American Production Inventory and Control Society.
