– UK – Alpha Returns, the AIM traded investing company focusing on investments in high-growth Asian economies, announces the resignation of chairman Angus Forrest who has been a director of the Company since 2004, latterly as non-executive chairman. He successfully oversaw the transition of the Company from a trading entity to an investing company and through the recent Company Voluntary Arrangement. He is leaving to concentrate on a new executive role. The Board would like to thank him for his contribution over many years. He is replaced by existing executive director Chan Cheong Yee (“Quattro”) as Interim Chairman.
The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Charles Drury (“Tony”), aged 66, as an additional non-executive director. Tony is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB) and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (MISI). He founded St. Helen’s Capital Plc in 1998 building it into one of the then leading PLUS market corporate advisory firms and brings with him a wealth of corporate finance experience.
