AIB Group welcomes Sandy Kinney Pritchard to its Board of Directors as Non-Executive Director

– IRELAND, Dublin – AIB Group plc (LON:AIBG) announces today that Ms Sandy Kinney Pritchard has been appointed to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 22 March 2019, and will succeed Ms Catherine Woods as Board Audit Committee Chair on her retirement from the Company later this year;

Richard Pym, Chairman of the Company, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sandy to AIB. Her diverse and extensive experience will greatly enhance the Boards experience and skills profile. Due to the planned retirements of some of our long serving Non-Executive Directors we have been working for some time on the Board succession plan. This announcement is the first stage of restructuring the Board to face this challenge.”

About Sandy Pritchard

Sandy is a UCD graduate, with a distinguished career across the financial services industry. She is an accountant, previously working as a senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and has held a number of Non-Executive Directorship roles, including at Irish Life and Permanent TSB Plc, Skipton Building Society, the FSCS, TSB Bank Plc and MBNA Ltd. Sandy is currently Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Credit Suisse (UK) Ltd and Non-Executive Chair of the Board of London & Country Mortgages Ltd.

Sandy is a former Non-Executive Director of TSB Banking Group plc, from which she resigned on 10 December 2018, and also a former Non-Executive Director of Findel plc, from which she resigned on 28 August 2015.
