Acal announces Nick Salmon as upcoming Non-Executive Chairman

– UK, Guildford – Acal plc (LSE: ACL), a leading international supplier of customised electronics to industry, is pleased to announce the intended appointment of Nick Salmon as Non-Executive Chairman with effect from the conclusion of the 2015 Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) on 29 July 2015. He is expected to succeed Richard Moon, who will step down from the Board upon the conclusion of the AGM, having served on the Acal Board since September 2004 and as Non-Executive Chairman since April 2005.

Nick Salmon was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Acal with effect from 1 March 2015 and will put himself forward for election as a Director of the Company at the 2015 AGM. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of South East Water Limited, Senior Independent Director of Elementis plc and a Non-Executive Director of Interserve plc. Nick has held senior Executive positions in several multinational companies including as Chief Executive of Cookson Group plc and of Babcock International Group plc.

On becoming Chairman of Acal, Nick will also become Chairman of the Nomination Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.
