Aberdeen Japan Investment Trust appoints Sir David Warren to its Board as Independent Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – Aberdeen Japan Investment Trust PLC (LSE:AJIT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sir David Warren as an independent non-executive director, with effect from 1 December 2015.

David Warren was British Ambassador to Japan from 2008 to 2012, after a career in the British Diplomatic Service that focused on East Asian affairs, in which he served three times in the British Embassy in Tokyo as well as two years as head of the China Hong Kong Department in the Foreign Office in London. He retired from the Diplomatic Service in January 2013. He is currently Chair of the Japan Society of the UK and the Council of the University of Kent, an Associate Fellow of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), and a Visiting Professor at Sheffield and De Montfort Universities.
