Aberdeen Asian Income Fund appoints Krystyna Nowak to the Board as Independent Non-Executive Director

– JERSEY, St. Helier – Aberdeen Asian Income Fund Limited is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Krystyna Nowak as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from the conclusion of today’s Annual General Meeting.

Mr Peter Arthur, Chairman, commented: “I am very pleased to welcome Ms Nowak to the Board. Krystyna is Managing Director of the Board Practice and a Member of the Executive Management Team at Norman Broadbent and will bring useful international and board governance experience. Krystyna’s appointment is part of the Board’s on-going plans for orderly succession.”

Krystyna studied at Oxford University, before joining Citibank, originally in London followed by nine years in the Far East in Hong Kong and Singapore.

As indicated in the Annual Report for the year ended 31 December 2014, Dr Armstrong has retired as a Director of the Company with effect from the conclusion of today’s Annual General Meeting. The Board would like to reiterate its thanks to Ana for her considerable contribution to the Company since its launch in 2005.
